Kilimanjaro has been made known in the Western world by the famous writer Ernest Hemingway, the short story “The Snows of Kilimanjaro”, wrote in 1930.
When traveling to Africa, snow is usually one of the last things that comes to mind, but Kilimanjaro in Tanzania has been a considerable amount of snow and ice peak of more than 11,000 years. I say “was” as it disappears quickly.
